Roadmap

What Isoloom does today, and what comes next: generators, the check runner, release binaries, appliance images.

v0.4 (now)

  • The format, version 1, with isoloom validate, targets and resources.
  • Generators: Docker Compose and Vagrant (isoloom generate), and isoloom check for CI.
  • Routers: reach rules between networks, enforced with nftables on both targets.
  • Gateways: a machine of the environment routes a network with its own rules (an edge firewall), on both targets.
  • internet: false on both targets; depends_on waits for services to answer on both.
  • Checks run from the access machine's side; three real examples run in CI with their checks.

Next

  1. Proxmox generator.
  2. Check runner on VM targets.
  3. Release binaries for macOS, Linux and Windows, a container image and a GitHub Action.
  4. Appliance images for gateways: OPNsense, pfSense.

Later

  • One cloud VM per machine (cloud-vm), starting with AWS.
  • The Ludus export.
  • Windows images built on the user's machine or server.
